Unstuck: The Path to Freedom Starts With a Yoke

Most people don’t realize they’re stuck—until they do.

It doesn’t always feel like a crash or a crisis.

Sometimes, stuck shows up as low motivation, spiritual numbness, or the haunting feeling that you’re just going through the motions.

And once you do recognize it, you're often met with a wave of emotions: shame, frustration, and confusion.

You wonder, “How did I get here?” and “Why can’t I move?”

But here's the truth: feeling stuck is not failure.

It's a signal.

A signal that God is inviting you to grow, shift, or surrender.

You don’t have to stay stuck.

1. From Emotion to Motion: Don’t Stay Stuck in the Feeling

The emotions that surface when we realize we’re stuck are real—but they aren’t meant to be permanent.

Shame will try to keep you isolated.

Frustration will try to convince you that change is too hard.

But transformation doesn’t come from analyzing your emotions endlessly—it comes from acting on God’s truth.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

Peace, joy, and freedom aren’t emotions we randomly wake up with.

They are fruits of discipline, obedience, and walking with God.

They come after we say “yes” to the hard things, after we put in the work, after we cling to Christ.

2. Freedom by Yoking: The Strength Is in Surrender

It’s one of the great paradoxes of the Christian life: The way to break free is to yoke yourself to someone else—Jesus.

“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me... and you will find rest for your souls.” – Matthew 11:29

You don’t get unstuck by pushing harder.

You get unstuck by partnering deeper—with Christ, in humility.

That’s the oxymoron: we are freest when we’re bound to Jesus.

We’re strongest when we’re weak and led by the Spirit.

And that’s what transformation looks like.
